 Objects & Material Experiments

Design at the scale of objects allows for a close look at the human body in its mutual evolution with the development of the material world.

The human species is a cloud of design and countless overlapping webs at the scale of the planet that are part of the body and brain. The human is inseparable from the artifacts that it produces, with the human body becoming an extension of all the artifacts it has made and each artifact being an intimate part of its biology and brain. Artifacts are interfaces, enabling different forms of human engagement in the world, but equally enabling the world to engage with the human differently.

With the belief that humans are both inseparable from its artifacts and challenged by them, the objects designed question notions of functionality and aesthetics. With the curiosity of exploring methods of creating living objects and growing architectures, experiments engage processes of the mineral and the organic realm, with current projects focusing on glass and mycelium.
