I am an architect, exhibit designer and urban planner at wHY Architecture in NYC. I am also the co-founder of CMyK Space research design group that is currently a resident of the GSAPP Incubator at the New Inc.
When I imagine cities, landscapes, buildings and other conditioned spaces, I see them as pure performances in interaction with the multiple aspects of their contexts. They are spatial and programmatic typologies that evolve in time, having to constantly readapt to the changing local/global cultural, social and environmental trends.
Over the past years I had the chance to collaborate with designers, curators, artists, thinkers and engineers on a variety of projects: from large scale retail master plans and infrastructural projects in Paris and Beijing, to small scale research based experimental installations in Singapore and NYC.
Regardless of the context -practice or school-, the process is always about exchange of knowledge and thoughts, and what I value the most as an outcome of each project, are the friendships that build up through the incredible amount of creative energy invested collaboratively into experimenting and putting new ideas into action.
