Hovering quietly over the hillside, the building draws its essence from nature itself—its balance, movement, and quiet resilience. The architecture embodies a dialogue between nature and culture, existing at the threshold between the wild and the refined. It distills the act of building in Costa Rica to its purest form: creating shade, shelter, and connection in direct conversation with sun, wind, and rain.
At its core, it is a single, calm yet assertive gesture—a floating roof that gathers beneath it a constellation of experiences. The broad horizontal plane holds the living suites, while below, the terrain flows uninterrupted, allowing the landscape to breathe through the structure. Architecture and land dissolve into one another, shaping spaces that are at once protected and open, intimate and expansive.
A pure square plan, centered around a circular garden, anchors the composition. This geometry—rational yet open—frames 360° views toward ocean and valley, embracing the landscape’s inherent duality. A spiraling ramp weaves between levels, choreographing a continuous experience through air, light, and vegetation.
Material experimentation deepens the dialogue with place. The use of locally sourced aggregates and mineral textures blurs the boundary between the natural and the manmade, grounding the architecture in its context while allowing it to age and weather gracefully. Lush vegetation extends across façades and roofs, forming a living, breathing envelope that cools, shades and protects.

Over time, the building becomes part of the landscape’s ecology—quiet, adaptive, and alive.
